Bike Ride

While in Texas visiting Andy's parents, Annika rode her first bike on training wheels.  We rode bikes practically every day.  She loved it.  Grandpa was amazed with how tough she was.  The first day she had a few good falls and scraped knees.  Annika didn't care.  She got back up with a smile on her face ready to try again.  She's a tough cookie.
As for Gavin, we put a seat on the back of a larger bike.  He enjoyed the scenery and going fast.  I didn't really appreciate the kicks in the bahootie though.  There should be straps for the feet.
So as you may have figured, I have been searching craigslist for a child carrier and a child's bike.  No luck yet.

  1. Yay for bikes! The seats here have straps for feet. Maybe you can talk mom and dad into bringing one home for you...as long as they work on American bikes. Ben thinks it would if you have a rack on the back. They run around 72 euros new, but sometimes bike shops have used ones for around 30 euros.

  2. Tough! She is her mother's daughter. What fun. We enjoy so much looking at all the blogs and seeing the fun 'family times' you are all having. And it brings back a lot of memories. We use to have a yellow carrier on the back of our bikes...many moons ago. We will have an empty duffel bag coming home...but you would need to be sure they worked on USA bikes.
